C. Shells – “C. Shells” CD/Cassette
1. Gaston Gator, friendly
alligator, down in the Louisiana bayou
Gaston
Gator, lonely alligator, ‘cause his friends were few
When he
flashed his pearly whites,
All the
little creatures would run in fright
Poor
Gaston so very, very lonely, didn’t know what to do
2. Gaston Gator heard the
little birdies singing in the cypress tree
“All
beware of the blue bayou,” they twitter cautiously
At the
blue bayou in the Louisiana swamp,
All the
reptiles gather for a reptile romp
“Stay
away,” warned the birds in fright, “from this alligator party.”
And they
all sang…
CHORUS: Under the Cajun moon so blue, the reptiles have a rendezvous
Every alligator who’s who, is at the Bayou Boogaloo
Woo hoo! At the Bayou Boogaloo
3. Gaston Gator swimming in
the swamp, lookin’ for the blue bayou
See
someone he’d like to be friends with, say, “How do you do?”
He smile
and give his great big grin
But all
they saw were teeth from cheek to chin
And they
all ran away from him, he was lonely through and through
4. When Gaston Gator found the
bayou,
There
were happy reptiles everywhere
Must have
been a million crocodilian, turtles dance without a care
All the
snakes did the shimmy, shimmy shake
Lizard’s
danced so hard that their tails would break
When the
gators did the chomp, chomp stomp
He did
the chomp, chomp stomp right there
Chomp, chomp stomp. Chomp, chomp stomp.
Chomp, chomp stomp. Chomp, chomp stomp.
We will, we will crock you. We will, we will crock you
5. Now Gaston Gator, happy
alligator, happy as a gator can be
See a beautiful lady alligator under the cypress
tree
And when
he flashed his pearly whites, she hissed at him in pure delight
And they
hissed and they kissed in the blue moonlight
For they
found true love you see
CHORUS: Under the Cajun moon so blue, Gaston gator say, “I do.”
Cherie Gator say, “Me, too.”
At the Bayou Boogaloo. Woo hoo!
At the Bayou Boogaloo. Woo hoo!
