PLAY DOUGH BLUES

©1995 Shelly Craig

C. Shells – “C. Shells”  CD/Cassette

1.  Now my play dough blues are the sassiest blues

And my play dough yellows are such handsome fellows

But the prettiest thing that I’ve ever seen

Is when you mix them all together, get some play dough green

2.  Now my play dough whites are so very bright

And my play dough reds kinda go to my head

But when you put ‘em all together what do you think

You get a play dough color called play dough pink

BRIDGE: To get a play dough purple what do you do?

You mix some play dough reds with some play dough blues

Orange, orange, orange that’s what I said

You mix some play dough yellows with some play dough red

3.  Now I’ve got my play dough purple and my oranges, too

I’m gonna put ‘em both together and see what they do

But when I put ‘em both together and mixed ‘em all down

I got this mucky-ucky color called play dough brown

4.  Oh no, no, no, no, no, no what’ll I do?

I don’t have any more play dough reds, no more play dough blues

Don’t drop it on the carpet, it’ll get on your mama’s shoes

Then you’re really gonna sing, the play dough blues, the play dough blues…
