1.  I know an old lady who swallowed a fly

      I don’t know why she swallowed a fly. Perhaps she’ll die!

 

2.  I know an old lady who swalled a spider

      That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her

      She swallowed the spider to catch the fly

      I don’t know why she swallowed the fly. Perhaps she’ll die!

 

3.  I know an old lady who swallowed a bird, how absurd to swallow a bird

      (Bird tweets) SPOKEN: Must have been a sweet tweet!

      She swallowed the bird to catch the spider

      That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her

      She swallowed the spider to catch the fly

      And I don’t know why she swallowed the fly. Perhaps she’ll die!

 

4.  I know an old lady who swallowed a cat,

      Imagine that, she swallowed a cat!

      SPOKEN: You know it was a great big Persian cat with great big fuzzy

      fur and great big fuzzy tail and she had to squish it up so she could  

      swallow it. (Squishing sounds) Then she squished the tail, (more squishing

      sounds) then she squished both parts together. Then she swallowed it!

      GULP!  (Cat hacking up a hairball sounds)

      She swallowed the cat to catch the bird

      She swallowed the bird to catch the spider

      That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her

      She swallowed the spider to catch the fly

      I don’t know why she swallowed the fly

      Perhaps she’ll die!

 

5.  I know an old lady who swallowed a dog. What a hog, to swallow a dog!

      SPOKEN: That must have been ‘ruff!”

      She swallowed the dog to catch the cat

      She swallowed the cat to catch the bird

      She swallowed the bird to catch the spider

      That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her

      She swallowed the spider to catch the fly

      I don’t know why she swallowed the fly. Perhaps she’ll die!

 

6.  I know an old lady who swallowed a goat.

      She opened her throat to swallow the goat

      SPOKEN: It was a little billy goat with little horns and goatee and it

      came galloping up. Gulp.

      How did it taste?

      It tasted baaaaad!

      She swallowed the goat to catch the dog

      She swallowed the dog to catch the cat

      She swallowed the cat to catch the bird

      She swallowed the bird to catch the spider

      SPOKEN: (ELVIS impersonation) Uh, oh, something’s wrong with my lip.

      That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her

      She swallowed the spider to catch the fly

      And I don’t know why she swallowed the fly. Perhaps she’ll die!

      SPOKEN: (ELVIS impersonation)Thank you, thank you very much.

      Oh, mama!

 

7.  I know an old lady who swallowed a cow

      I don’t know how she swallowed the cow

      SPOKEN: Hey, I bet she had a lot of cookies and wanted some milk

      to go with them!

      She swallowed the cow to catch the goat

      She swallowed the goat to catch the dog

      She swallowed the dog to catch the cat

      She swallowed the cat to catch the bird

      She swallowed the bird to catch the spider

      SPOKEN: (ELVIS impersonation) Uh, oh, something’s wrong with my lip.

      That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her

      She swallowed the spider to catch the fly

      I don’t know why she swallowed the fly. Perhaps she’ll die!

      SPOKEN: (ELVIS impersonation)Thank you, thank you very much.

      I just want to say…the old lady has left the building. Oh, mama!
