LLARRY THE LLAMA

C. Shells – “Cool Cats” CD

CHORUS: Llarry the llama, loves to dance in pajamas

He loves to go dancing all day

With dainty four feet, his steps were so neat

At night he’d fall asleep on the hay

1.  When Llarry was little, he sat in the middle

While riding to school on the bus

His toes they’d be tappin’ and then they’d be clappin’

‘Til the bus driver turned and said, “Hush!”

2.  Llarry the llama, who danced in pajamas, lived a good life on the farm

His best friend was Charley (a dog, big and gnarly)

Who lived in a stall in the barn

3.  There was Rhonda the goat, who lived in a boat

And Bruce, the mouse in the corn

Together they danced, with nary a glance

At their friend, the chicken named Norm            (NORM!)

4.  Llarry told Rhonda, of whom he was fond-a,

“I want to dance like Astaire”

“Help me Rhonda, help,  help, me Rhonda

I’ll pay you whatever seems fair.”

5.  Oh, what a trauma for Llarry the llama

As he tripped and fell over his feet

He first stubbed his toes and then stubbed his nose

While trying to keep up with the beat

6.  Try as he must, he kicked up the dust and practiced dancing for days

With Rhonda and Charley (the dog, big and gnarly)

Llarry found that practice does pay

7.  The barnyard dance gave note in advance, fun was to be had by all

On Saturday night, with friends left and right

Llarry gave his girlfriend a call

8.  His girlfriend was Dolly, whose real name was Polly

But everyone knew her as Nancy

With eight on the floor, they twirled and they soared

Their dance steps were footloose and fancy

9.  The barnyard was hoppin’, with lots of foxtrottin’

      The jitterbug, pony and more

Llarry and Dolly, whose real name was Polly

Cut loose as they danced ‘cross the floor
