C. Shells – “Animal Tails” CD/Cassette
1. Way on over in a land down
under in a place called Queensland Creek
Lives an
odd little creature with unusual features,
Kind of
like an otter with a beak
Now this
funny little fellow was feelin’ kind of low,
‘Cause
all the other fellows teased him so
They made
a little song and they all would sing along
And this
is how it would go
CHORUS: Who has a bill but does not quack?
Radamus the Platypus, that’s who
Who has fur on his belly and his back?
Radamus the Platypus, that’s who
Who has a tail that’s wide and flat?
Who was born from an egg that hatched?
Radamus the Platypus, Radamus the Platypus,
Radamus the Platypus, that’s who
2. Now his sweetiepus named
Pattypus said, “Don’t you be a sadiepus.
We’ll
go see the owl in the red gum tree.”
He said,
“Mr. Owl, everyone is teasing me, everyone is making fun of me.”
Now old
Mr. Owl looked down his beak,
Said,
“It’s true you have an unusual physique.
Hold your
bill up high, you’re a very special guy
You’re
very special, ‘cause you are unique.”
BRIDGE: Said the owl, “It’s true, there are many unusual animals in our
land.
Wouldn’t it be such a shame if all of us were all the same
The world be so boring and bland.
3. Now, Radamus the Platypus
is very much the gladypus,
He holds
his head up high
For now
he knows what really counts is what you think about yourself
He knows
he’s a very special guy
Radamus
the platypus has changed his attitude
For now
he is a very cool dude
Radamus
the Platypus is totally Radapus, totally Radapus, too cool
CHORUS: Who has a bill but does not quack?
Totally Radapus, that’s who
Who has fur on his belly and his back?
Totally Radapus, that’s who
Who has changed his whole attitude?
Who is now a very cool dude?
