C. Shells – “Animal Tails”  CD/Cassette

1.  Ringo the Raccoon was out in the woods,

Walking and stalking the best that he could

He walked down the path to the old oak tree

And there he saw a nest of bees

“Buzz, buzz,” said the bees. “How do you do?”

“Hi,” said Ringo. “I’m fine, thank you.”

“What do you do all day when it’s sunny?”

“Why we gather nectar to make our honey.”

2.  Ringo the Raccoon was out in the woods

Walking and stalking the best that he could

He walked down the path to the old millpond

And there he saw a great big green frog

“Ribbet,” said the frog. “How do you do?”

“Hi,” said Ringo. “I’m fine, thank you.”

“What do you do all day on a log?”

“Why I catch flies with my great big long tongue.”

3.  Ringo the Raccoon was out in the woods

Walking and stalking the best that he could

He walked down the path to old Johnson’s farm

And there he saw an owl in the barn

“Who?” said the owl. “How do you do?”

“Hi,” said Ringo. “I’m fine, thank you.”

“What do you do all day ‘til it’s night?”

“I sleep ‘til it’s dark and then go hunt mice.”

4.  Ringo the Raccoon was out in the woods

Walking and stalking the best that he could

He walked down the path to the cold mountain stream

And saw a bear with a fish in his teeth

“Grrrowl,” said the bear. “How do you do?”

“Hi,” said Ringo. “I’m fine, thank you.”

“What do you do all winter ‘til Spring?”

“I sleep in my cave and dream happy dreams.”

5.  Ringo the Raccoon was out in the woods

Walking and stalking the best that he could

He walked down the path ‘til he came to a cave

And met with a fox who barked to be brave

“Bark, bark,” said the fox. “How do you do?”

“Hi,” said Ringo. “I’m fine, thank you.”

“How would you like to be my friend?”

“OKAY!” said the fox and they played ‘til the end
