WENDELL AND THE WIZARD’S WAND

©2000 Shelly Craig

C. Shells – “Just for Fun!”  CD/Cassette

1.  Wendell went trick or treating early one Halloween

     Came upon a wizard’s home

Walked right in, found a magic wand

Looked around, saw he was alone

“What fun!” he said and he gave the wand a switch

Before him appeared the witches six

He made the witches look the same

And switched around all their names

“Oh no!” they said. “Which witch is which?”

CHORUS: We can’t tell which witch is which

We can’t tell which witch is which

Who would make such a wicked switch

We can’t tell which witch is which

2.  Little Wendell waved the wand into the air

     There appeared a werewolf lair

Again he waved the wand in the air

And whisked away all their hair

“Owwwwwww!” howled the werewolves in despair

When they saw they were bare

“How can we properly scare, anyone in just our underwear?”

CHORUS: Where oh where is the werewolves hair?

Where oh where is the werewolves hair?

Is it there or there or there?

Where oh where is the werewolves hair?

3.  The wand changed into a fiery blue

And summoned up a ghostly crew

Wendell said, “I know what I’ll do!”

And turned their boos into a moo

“Moo hoo hoo,” cried the ghostly crew

“What a horrible thing to do.

We won’t be able to scare a kangaroo.”

“Moo,” they said and away they flew

CHORUS: Who turned our boos into moos?

Who turned our boos into moos?

Was it you or you or you?

Who turned out boos into moos?

4.  Now the wizard came home, found Wendell with the wand

Snatched it away and said, “Be gone!”

So if you’re out on Halloween night

And you see some witches who look alike

And you hear some ghostly moos and see a naked werewolf or two

Don’t be afraid, they’re not after you

     They’re out looking for you-know-who

CHORUS: They’re not looking for you or you

They’re not looking for you or you

                 They’re out looking for you-know-who

I wouldn’t want to be in Wendell’s shoes
